In the CloudShell environment, most device interaction is through a clientless HTML5 device interface called a "Guacamole" server. Therefore, end user's must use a HMTL5 capable browser (most modern browsers are). Here is a list of officially supported browsers by Guacamole:
Desktop:
- Firefox 3.5 or later.
- Any version of Chrome.
- IE 10 or later
- Safari 5.0 or later
- Opera 12.0 or later
Mobile:
- iOS 5.0 or later
- Android 3.0 or later (or any version of Android Chrome or Firefox)
NOTE: The Windows 10 "Edge" browser has shown signs of sluggish behavior when interacting with CloudShell and Guacamole. Please use with caution.
NOTE: Chrome has a limit of six Guacamole tabs open at once. If more tabs are needed, Firefox is a good option.
NOTE: Some default Internet Explorer IT policies has the compatibility view setting enabled for anything in certain domains which can cause an issue when trying to access a lab device's telnet/SSH/Console interface (through the Guacamole page) which is in the "juniper.net" domain. To remove the juniper.net from the compatibility view settings, go to Tools | Compatibility View Settings and remove "juniper.net". Another alternative is to use a browser other than IE.
NOTE: The HTML5/Guacamole interface can be difficult to view on a Mac with "Retina" display. We have found that using the "Scaled" option in the "Color LCD" system preference set to a lower resolution may be helpful.
